Is the ASUS Silent Square Pro any good for the Intel Core 2 Quad? If one considered overclocking… what about the ASUS Silent Knight ? BTW sorry Big B… I just didn’t think about it:O

How much are you looking to spend? Do you want to stick with air, or are you considering liquid cooling?
Also, my dad just upgraded his upstairs box to C2D, and the stock fan is really quiet. You might just check that out first and see how that suits your tastes. C2D runs pretty cool as it is, so if you’re not looking for heavy overclocking, I’d give the stock cooler a whirl.

Yeah, you’re right, I’ll check the Quad’s stock cooler then see… I’m looking for the most efficient air cooling in case the stock cooler isn’t enough or is too noisy. Price isn’t a problem at this stage. Just 2 things: 1. silence, 2. Efficiency.
