We could have a reported posts league table - so we can see how many people each of us have reported and who has spotted the most scammers & advertisers?
would be interesting but not a priority 
on a side note: I’ve enabled a feature which checks post content for spam. (only for new users though)

yep - me too, but if i’m in doubt i PM admin & let them decide, cos then, i’ve done my bit
no doubt the main reason for enabling the new feature is because when these users post in old threads, it sends out a email to all who have taken part. So kind of looks like spam from HWF.
Its already blocked spam that no one has seen don’t worry there are sneaky users out there who masquerade as regular users, then all of a sudden SPAM.
Plus I highly doubt it will catch all spam threads/posts.

Do you mean a moderation system where staff members need to check a member’s first post before it’s displayed, or is it some kind of recognition system that automatically deletes posts that seem to be spam?
nope its mostly automatic, post is marked for moderation if detects it as spam else it goes though as normal.
