the res is based entirely on the input your monitor can handle and what your grfx card can output, so 1024 x 768 is probably monitors highest setting allowed
But i’ve had higher on this whatever next one is sure i’ve had it on this on the old windows 2000 :ohah:
640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1152 x 864, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 1024 1600 x 1200, then it gets stupid,
download drivers for your grfx card then set your grfx to “Standard VGA” and reboot & install new drivers
that should sort it (if it doesn’t then drop kick the pc, then try it)
Right Click on your desktop > Properties than select settings go to advanced, select monitor tab. Increase the referesh rate over there, press ok. Now try to increase the resolution of your monitor.
how old is your monitor? do you know what video adapter you have?
try an upgrade your drivers.
