Reversed Audio Channels

the audio channels on my computer are reversed. the right side sound comes out the left, and vice versa. its quite annoying for gaming. this happens for my speakers and 2 different pairs of headsets.

i have an onboard SoundMAX Audio HD (this also happened with my previous Creative SB Live!). my drivers are up to date.

is there anyway to fix this?

Swap the left and right audio jacks around.

theres only 1 audio jack.

Have a look in your audio settings, there may be a way of switching the channels round.

If not then you could do some rewiring (not hard)

ive checked my settings quite a bit, havent found anything. i might try the wiring, do you have something i could follow along while doing it?

wait a sec. wat kind of a setup are you using? 5.1? 2.1?

not 2.1, just 2 desktop speakers.

go to your audio utility, see if your program is enabled to 2.1.

its just enabled for 2 desktop speakers (thats all i have).

this also happens with two of my headsets. im thinking its the sound card.

Id just swap the speakers around!

And lump it with the headphones.

Ditto! because I have never used/seen any program who does this thing.

well, i dont really care about the speakers. it would be really nice if someone could post something that could show me how to rewire my headset to reverse the sound, as someone mentioned before.
