Hmm, wouldn’t know about it being designed for a different country - the only other place I’ve set up an ADSL modem apart from the UK was Australia and that one had PPPoa &e. Are you absolutly sure it doesnt work as it is? Although ISP’s state one or the other, ive found that quite often they still support both… BT for one
Also I have yet to come across a client/ISP that needed the VPI/VCI changing from the default, not that it helps you much just an FYI.
well, AT told me that because my ISP is PPPoA & my router is PPPoA and not PPPoE my new router & my ISP will not be happy working together, so, i need a new router or ISP or i could try fluttering my eyelashes at the people where i bought it
personally, i’ve always found my BB connection is more reliable if all settings (VPI,VCI & encapsulation (CHAP)) are set manually rather than leaving it set to auto or default
