I’ve got my newly built system on the testbench. Only problem seems to be that the computer only recognises one drive. I have 2 installed - A WD SATA and a WD IDE Special. I’m not even sure which one is the one working!
There is a C: recognised but no other hard drive.
The SATA is foolproof to plug in as I’ve used all the SATA leeds and Power cables. I’m using a ASUS board - A7N8X-E Deluxe.
Make sure that the SATA controller is enabled with the jumper. It should already be that way by default.
Secondly, you’ll need to install drivers for the Silicon Image Sil3112A SATA controller. SATA is not natively supported by Windows right now, so it can’t recognize an SATA drive without a 3rd party driver.
