I am trying to install a scanner on my computer but it won’t work, it keeps telling me that it is not digitally signed. it was working on my parents computer which runs win95 i run winxp. I have gone to the genius website and downloaded the recommended drivers but still no go, the disk that came with the scanner had the same result also.??? is it just a really big paperweight now, will it work at all on xp?
there’s bound to be more drivers out there for it ill have a goosey, whats the model number
thanks, it’s a colorpage vivid 4xe by genius. will that make it become compatible with xp?
ive found some driver sites, try each one at a time, if still no luck let me know ill do a deeper and detailed search

Being signed is just a proof that the drivers have gone through rigorous testing and are good. However, just because they aren’t signed doesn’t mean they’ll hurt anything. The warning is just that: a warning.
You can change the warning by doing the following:
-Right click on ‘My Computer’, click on Properties
-Select ‘Hardware’ tab
-Click on the ‘Driver Signing’ button
-You have three options: Ignore, Warn, Block. Pick one to suit your fancy.
no worries thanks big B
