…about designing and coding a website by the forum members devoted to graphics, designing, sigs and renders?
It would give a chance for people to get talents recognised by visitors, and hell, we could even sell some of the stuff. Some while back there was talk of a site like this selling work between Egaladeist and a few others. This plan didn’t get too far, but who knows :chk:
Many people would/could be involved - designers, coders, admins, web masters etc, which would be kind of community activity thing for the forums.
Id be in, i am ok with web gfx : / and id like to learn some coding so id be in, but i have dial up now and cable wont be available for about 2 months not in our area till may or june
Well if the idea is in favor, then may as well make a start!
I’m happy to set up the server and account etc, and I can also pay for bandwidth as only $2 a gigabyte which is no major problem. But that’s jumping the gun a little.
A name will be needed for the site - I will be using dot.tk as the ‘provider’, and a freewebtown account, so the site will be www.whatever.tk with all the hosting done @ freeweb.
Also we’ll need a list of the content that will be on the site, such as a forum, guestbook, sig creation form, tutorial page and submission form etc.

After a main page we could have a forum link to this, or even have a separate forum.
Do you mean having a different site and forums or just use the HWF graphics forum. If you want to start a new site with its own forums etc it will take time to grow as there’s plenty of sites out there.

I wouldn’t want to draw traffic away from the site, so perhaps we create a thread in graphics design leading to the site, but on all the pages have a “Back To The Forums” link or something.
Also, the Forum could be this site, with a link to graphics design as the default forum maybe? That would encourage traffic for both sites.
Agreed, it will take a long time for the site to get busy if it even gets a couple of visitors, but development and content could be designed now.
I’ve had a go at making the navigation for the site, this would sit directly below the main title graphic which would be abstract and tech, I think would look good.
