There are certain programs that I use a lot that are not located on the desktop as icons, such as the calculator and Microsoft Word. When I right-click on these programs in the start menu and select properties, it gives me the option to set a shortcut key. I set the calculator’s shortcut key to F12, thinking it would allow me to bring up the calculator at the touch of a button, but when I press F12 on the desktop, nothing happens.
What’s going on? Is there any way I can create a shortcut to my most often-used programs?
when you press a particular button in the shortcut field for e.g c…It changes automatically to ctrl + alt + c. Any button which it accepts will work for you but if it is clashing with some other shortcut key then sometimes it doesnt work. In your case try setting it to f6, it will work fine because if you press ctrl + alt + f12, you will get graphics card controller popup window.
