Right, my Recycle Bin had some files in it, so I emptied it, but the graphic still showed it was full, so I opened it and there was nothing, I click on ‘Empty The Recycle Bin’ and it comes up with a message: “Are you sure you want to delete ‘WINDOWS’?” So I click Cancel, go into the Recycle Bin and click on Restore Items, nothing happens so I click Empty again and the same message comes up. So it’s sitting there, part of me wants to do and see what happens but part of me is worried ****less as to what will happen.
I’d move my important files to a different HDD or partition and try rebooting.
Thanks, B, worked a real treat. ![]()
I dunno, something about that is pretty funny to me, delete WINDOWS!, I really wonder what would’ve happened? I guess Bill’s team didn’t think that one through.

Say Yes!!! :good:
Can you post a screenshot of the dialog box? I could use that.
I’m surprised it’s not alread on the Anti-MS site, that’s some pretty funny stuff.
My one was telling me WINDOWS was already in the recycle bin. ![]()
Come to think of it I should have taken a screenie. ![]()
I think the best anti-Windows campaign is seeng the “security and stability” of Windows in action. I just came from my younger brother’s house, where I worked on his roomate’s PC a bit. The NTFS filesystem was something like 90% fragmented (no joke), and while virus scans turned up nilch, the NT kernel’s CRC was off but quite a bit from what it should have been… rootkit!
What to do to fix it? Reformat/reinstall…
When I read this thread I ask myself, “Got root?”
I still want that t-shirt I’ve seen around.
“Bow before me, for I am root.”

Dunno about that, depending on the potential employer, this shirt might actually work in your favour. :good:
