I’m sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but if I have a motherboard with a 24 pin power supply connector, and my power supply has a 20+4 pin connector, are they compatible?? Thank you for any help,
!!
That depends, as older PSU’s had a 20 Pin connector and a 4 Pin connector but the 20 Pin was used for motherboard power and the 4 Pin for CPU power. What Power supply is it?
I’m thinking that 4 Pin connector isn’t for the motherboard as if the PSU had a 4 pin connector for the motherboard it would also have another 4 Pin connector for the CPU power.
Hey, thanx for the reply, here is the link to the case i want to get, which includes a power supply:

And here is the link to the motherboard I want to get:

Thank you for your help!!
When they describe the “20 + 4 pin Power Supply” I think they’re reffering to the motherboard power connector as 4 pin CPU connectors are standard. I think you’ll be okay, if not then adapters are available.
Agressive… woooooooo ![]()
How about using a 20 to 24 pin convertor?
Thanx a lot you guys, i’ll let you know how it goes, lol, have a graet day!!
