So I'll be back in a few days maybe more.

I was at my friend’ house, saw a big pile of PC parts broken, new, used. I saw 3 full PC’s and snagged 'em. They were headed to the dump. I couldn’t let them die. 1 HP pavilion mATX pII? 466mhz? celeron. 192mb ram, I put in an ATI rage video. 2 Gateway 2000’s. I popped one open -sigh- PII 266? No RAM, 4.3gb HDD, ATI Rage. 3Com NIC. I popped open the next one… It’s a 1ghz AMD socket A Athlon Thunderbird core  512mb ram, voodoo5500 64mb.

I’m gonna run a counterstrike 1.6 server off the HP if I can, if not I will run it on the AMD. See you guys when I’m finished with them :good:

Sweet find NF.

Nice. Why do people insist on dumping old pcs?? There should be a site called dump a pc and it should be law that you haveto post the pc on there for a week before u dump it. Then if sum1 wants it they can pick it up

One quick questions, Do T-bird cores run hot? Or is it just me?

thunder-bird ninja

thunder-bird haha

T-birds did have a bad reputation for being hot. You may need to watch your cooling with that. The AXP palomino core reduced heat output by 20%.

Good for you mate, I wish I came across finds like that.:good: Heck that Athlon is good enough for a second system, for free!
