-Go to My Computer.
-Right Click on an empty space in the window and select properties.
-Select “Hardware” Tab
-Click on Device Manager
-Double Click on “Sound, Video and Game Controllers.”
-Look for a model name of your sound device.
It could be anything except:
Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
Video Codecs
What you will find is the name of your sound card/integrated audio device.
Do a google search for the driver for your sound device. Use “[incert model name] driver” as the keyword. Download the driver and install it.
Another way to do this is to go onto your PC manufacturer website (ex: dell.com) and do a PC model specific search. Usually PC manufacturers supply a product support page for their machines that have downloadable manuals, driver updates, and other support information. You are likely to find the audio driver there.
