Okay so this is a thread for some of the really stupid things you’ve done with computers resulting in what you thought was a problem…(I thought I’d post it here rather than clog up the support forums general hardware section with something that doesn’t really help but is just a bit of ‘fun’)
I have done a few, the most embarrasing one (although I’m sure it’s happened to a few others) is I took my computer apart to give it a good clean out and connected everything up and pressed the switch…nothing, checking inside, power cables to motherboard were okay, switch connector was okay…“damn I though, must be the power cable” so i changed the power cable, still nothing…“oh no…it’s dead, I did something wrong and it’s died…” I thought, then it hit me, I unplugged everything AND turned the power off at the mains…it was still off and that’s why it wouldnt turn on anymore…dang…
So let us hear it, what’s the most silly, embarrasing thing that you’ve done that made you think your computer had ‘kicked the bucket’ so to speak…
