Seagate 4.3gb Scsi HDD
Model ST 15230 WC
SCA 80 pin
Hi, I am planning to buy this small size of disk as I have heard that to run windows HDD runs continuesly and I want my existing HDD drive not to die soon. I will install winXPH on it. is it worth using for windows?
If yes then what are the things I will need to run this SCSI drive? Which adaptors or wires. Will I b able to connect it with my computer? …bla bla bla… Ne thing u can understand.
You’ll need a SCSI controller card, as well as a 50-pin to 80-pin adapter or 68-pin to 80-pin adapter. 80-pin SCSI drives are made with hot-swapping in mind, if I remember correctly.
I’m not sure where you’ve gotten the idea that constant use will prematurely kill your hard drive (it will die eventually, but shouldn’t worry unless you only upgrade every 15 years), but it’s untrue.
