I’m currently having some serious problems with MESH Computers.
Computer was faulty as soon as I got it - bit of cabling or wiring stuck in graphics card fan. Engineer said it “probably happened in transit”. Sent computer back for repair.
Got the computer back and there was another fault. The power button would refuse to work 7 times out of 10(ish). Engineer said it “probably happened in transit”. Sent the computer back and they couldn’t find a fault. After convincing them of my problem they decided to reinvestigate and eventually replaced the front panel.
Got the computer back. Power button fine, but another fault - A damaged PCI-E slot! BIOS error beeps (1 long, 3 short) and no video. Engineer said it “probably happened in transit”. Are you seeing a pattern here?
Anyway, on to my point - I’ve demanded a complete system replacement (to which they’ve agreed), but I don’t trust them. Three times they blame delivery methods for damage but I don’t buy it at all, and a Google for MESH problems would give you enough reading material to open a library.
What I’m wondering is this:- (finally, I’ve got to the point).
Does each component have an unique ID or serial number I can make a note of, either physically on the device itself or obtainable via some system information tool? I want to make a note of them in case I get a replacement system that isn’t actually a replacement.
Thanks for your help.
