It has been a long time since I watched football, specially on the league level. So this might sound like a silly question. Are you guys talking about Manchester United.
In the English premier league, as far as I have seen, I have never seen them come down of the number one spot. And there is usually a big difference between the number 1 and number 2 in terms of points. I don’t know whether it is still the same or not?

United currently stand 5th after 7 games! Arsenal are the team to beat at the moment, no one has beaten them for 45 games in the premier league I think but they have been beaten in other competitions!
