Urgent Help! Will this configuration work?

This is what I have purchased so far…

  1. COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel, SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

  2. Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

  3. SAMSUNG 16X DVD±R DVD Burner With 5X DVD-RAM Write and LightScribe Black ATA/ATAPI Model SH-S162L

  4. EVGA 256-P2-N553-AX Geforce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card

This is what I am going to purchase…

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB(2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit System Memory (Will timing and voltage be a problem?)

My questions…

  1. Are there going to be any problems with this configuration?
  2. Will the Geforce 7600GT be compatible with the motherboard?
  3. Are the CORSAIR XMS2 2GB compatible with the motherboard?
  4. Will 500watts be enough to power the whole pc?
  5. Is it safe to order the processor from tigerdirect?

  4. Will 500watts be enough to power the whole pc? More wouldn’t hurt, but it should be enough (you should post the rails, amps, and wattage just in case)
  5. Is it safe to order the processor from tigerdirect? Of course, TigerDirect is your friend - I got a busted case and they sent me a new one (free of charge) and paid for the shipping of the one I sent back - Not to mention they have very nice prices on the Conroe line since they have good relations with Intel (I ordered my E6600 from them)

Just so you know, timings are not a problem. They only become a factor when you want the absolute most out of your system (when you want to make your system the fastest it can be).

hey just a thought but asus is making or already has made a board with SLI support for Intel based systems.

SLI is only for nVidia motherboard chipsets (if that’s what you mean by systems). They have the P5N32 that supports Conroe.
