USB Switch

Hey all,

I would like to share my home printer between 2 computers, I have heard that I can do this with a USB switch, can anyone give me some more information on these?:slight_smile:

yes, that’s true but generally there are 2 types[ul][li]manual switch[*]auto switch[/ul]the difference between them is: with a manual switch, you have to physically move a switch (before printing) to be able to print from either system, but an auto switch “automatically” switches from one system to the other, i think (but i could be wrong) the switch emulates a virtual parallel port for the system that is not printing[/li]
