When I click on a video clip it transfers the data but does not play it. I can download the clip and watch it OK. This seemed to happen after I installed sygate firewall. I have since uninstallad the firewall but don’t know how to return the settings to what they were. I can’t use sys restore as it does not go back far enough. Xp with sp2 and Firefox. Any advice welcome 
Id say that the firewall isnt configured to let you stream live content, as ive had no experience with Sygate i would reinstall it and have a look through the settings and see what you can find!
And a recommendation-
After installation of any firewall go to www.grc.com
and do the sheilds up test to test firewall strength!
Thanks for the reply. I am reluctant to reinstall sygate as it caused other probs as well. I just wondered if it was possible to return to the default play settings ?
The only thing i can suggest is to have a look at ur firefox settings and also test if the videos are viewable in internet explorer!

I now find that I have a DNS error on IE. I think I will go for a few pints now
