ok, I boguht an S-video to RCA cable; I hooked the s-video side to the laptop, and the RCA cable side to the TV, but I am not getting anything on the TV
I went to display properties and clicked on"Extend my Windows Desktop to my Seconde monitor" which is the TV, and still nothing; I also updated the video card; how come I’m getting nothing on my TV
what resolution are you using for the extended desktop?
On my laptop I have to press the Function Key (Fn) and F6, which then gives me options of how I want to display the screen (laptop, laptop & TV, TV). Look in your manual or a key on the keyboard that looks similar.
same as laptop 1280x1024
If I can remember correctly when I was outputting to a TV, I had to lower to extended desktop resolution to 640*480 for it to show up on the TV.
yea, no luck, i tried setting the resolution lower for the 2nd monitor(TV), still nothing, then tried setting the laptop to the lowest settings possible, still nothing
tried holding Fn and pressing all F# buttons and nothing appeared on laptop or TV (no options); have no manual either
did you use any particular software to do this
Are you using the correct AV channel on your TV? What is the make and model of the laptop?
