The board and cpu should definitely be compatible, but you’re gonna be spending more money on DDR3 memory instead of DDR2 since that’s what your board asks for.
The guys posting to recommend that you get the 9600GT and 3870 are not really giving you a good deal (no offense) I recommend you go for the ATi 4870 instead and forget the 9600GT or the 3870, even thought the new 4870 is more expensive but it will be more future proof and it’s also an excellent card compared to the other two. oh and it’s also 512mb or 1GB. So to make up for the expense why not get a cheaper mobo and better graphics card??? just a suggestion. As for the Intel Mobo they are rather expensive to what you get from them i suggest you go for Gigabyte or Asus these two are really good mobo manufactures but can be expensive, so guess you have to shop around.
