my computer is effected with a virus. I know it’s in startup but i can’t edit my “msconfig” or even i can’t edit regiestry by 'regedit". When i use this run command it is closes automatically. It’s something W32…@mm or like this ..
I don’t have any anti virus program in my computer right now. I tried to install Norton but when i try to open the file from cd the windows automatically close. …

as DavidNW says Avast is :swear:ing good, when i was using XP, i used it, another free antivirus is AVG but IMO avast is much better
W32.Rantokbro.U@mm it the name of the virus…what to do next … i can’t install any antivirus program in my computer … not even avast… .. help ma !!!

How long have you had it? Try system restore and restore to an earlier date.
If that doesn’t work, did your computer come with a recovery disk?
You might have a SMART Virus,There are allot of them going Around now days.
