What notebook to buy for under $1300? - Please help

I’ve read reviews on a whole buch of websites and all nobooks have their ups and downsides so I’m having a hard time deciding.

I want a powerful desktop with atleast:

2GHz processor
TV Tuner
17" screen
Pentium 4 or Mobile Centrino
Weight not an issue

Please suggest one that you’ve used within my budget of 1.3k. Thanks you.

this ones pretty good, however, still wait for other recommendations, but in my opinion you should get one with a turion 64 if you want to go mobile.

I’d say go for an IBM Thinkpad. You’ve got enough money for a mig-range Thinkpad, and they’re great. If they don’t have a tv tuner, you can get a USB one.
