Where to find large ide laptop hdd @ 7200rpm

Firstly I’d like to say that I’m brand new to the forum, so hi all, I’m not very computer literate, I tend to learn as I need. My latest dilema however has me stumped.

I need to upgrade my laptop from 60 gig to the largest ide 7200rpm 2.5" hdd that is available, so I set off on the usual research merry go round but every time I find what I think fits the bill…e.g. hitachi’s travelstar 7k100, or the Seagate momentus, both 100 gig, and from looking at the forums etc I believe that they are the largest around, it turns out that they are discontinued.

I am now desperate to progress and would appreciate any and all advice.

is 7200pm one of your requirements?

ebuyer have some but at a lower speed Hard Drives - 2.5" Laptop IDE Drives - Ebuyer

Hi Sniper, thanks for your reply, yes they have to be 7200 I am taking out 60 gig 7200’s so they would have to be 7200’s to make an acceptable difference.
