yup! The foldings are just slow…very slow
I’m averaging about 1 WU per day, just by looking at it, but it’s probably more since I’m past 40 WU’s, and I don’t think we’ve been up here a month
I’m getting like, 1/2 a day… if im lucky!
Are you using the screen saver client? That might be why. I’m using the command line client in combination with FireDaemon. You’ve got a faster CPU than me, so that should help. If you’re running WinXP, 256MB is the minimum you should be running with. I mean, I’ve got an Athlon XP2400+ with the Thorton core on it, and that’s slower overall than the XP2600+ you have. Of course, I’m leaving mine run 24/7.
I’m using command line
are you running 24/7 though? Big B has F@H tunning 24/7!
I’m usually running about 16 hours a day, i turn it off when i sleep so i can sleep
Usually I’m running WMP10 and AIM. That may be the problem. AIM uses a lot of resources for what it is
Oh yeah, I closed every process i could, even explorer, and i was folding for about 45 minutes, i left, and came back with 20 percent done!
cool, so is that a little faster? each WU takes a different time to complete!
yeah it was a lot faster after i closed all processes, WMP, and AIM
