Which lcd is best from that two ???

hello

i want to buy a LCD. I have two purposes

a) To connect my Xbox 360 with LCD and play games
b) Watch movies

i have found these two lcd which are under my budget and have nice features

  1. Acer AL2416WB 24" TFT Monitor Widescreen 1920x1200 1000:1 400cd/m2 5ms Silver/Black 3 Years Warranty - Ebuyer

The lcd given in link 1 has 24" dimensions and have resolution of 1920x1200 and second one has 1680 x 1050 resolution

Also one thing confuses me that HD-dvd and blue ray have maximum resolution of 1920*…but the lcd given in second link has 1680*1050 resolution. So is second LCd is capable of playing HD-DVd and blue ray at maximum resolution

and finally tell me that which lcd is best from above two.

the second link don’t seem to work

and also i don’t understand what your trying to say. why wouldn’t it work on 1680 x 1050 because that is a smaller resolution then 1920x1200 so therefore its within the limits.

I would prefer the SAMSUNG since it has a respone time of 2ms compared to your other one with 5ms. Also, the SAMSUNG has a power consumption of 55watts over the other 90w. But these are just miniscule differences. Either one would be fine in any case.

I recommend Samsung also. Costco seems to have the best price on the set right now.

i have a 24" samsung 1920x1200 & its awesome, movies & games are incredible, if you want a good monitor for a good price, go with the 24"
