I have 120gb sata HDD in which i have intalled windows vista. Now i attached another hard disk of 640Gb capacity (and remove previous HDD) and install windows 7 in it.
Now again i have attached my previous HDD, now total 2 HDD’s are active. But when i boot my computer it recognizes the OS of my 640GB OS instead of my 1st HDD OS.
Is there any method so that my computer loads the os as installed in first HDD (i.e. 120 gb HDD)
yes, in the BIOS there is an option called something like “boot priority” or something, enter the bios by pressing or usually on most systems, and you can select the device to boot from first
yes, these instructions may work on your system but for example Dell are a quite large manufacturer an i know doesn’t allow you access to the BIOS, i wrote quite a good general BIOS post here
