Im gonna buy a radeon 9700pro from: http://www.retekdirect.co.uk/acatalog/Video_Cards.html
But i cant understand why it is so cheap, because the same card on all other websites ranges from £200-£250 or $350 , is it just because the website is cheap or is it defective or summit?
plz help
I’m not sure why, maybe it’s just a good price and that’s it. If you know they can be trusted, then I don’t see why you wouldn’t buy it.
The thing is they mention the 9700 Pro is the world’s fastest video card…this isn’t true. So I don’t know what we should think of that.

It could also be the effects that ATi isn’t producing the 9700 Pro chips anymore. It’s been essentially replaced by the 9800/Pro/XT carss, so this site may have another batch cheaper or that they just need to get rid of. Not really sure, but that could be the case here.

i just ordered it yesterday, so now im waiting for it to arrive 
nice tell me if its any good cos i might spend the extra 25 quid and get myself 1 instead of 9600 pro

Got me 9700pro and its brill, but it is second hand, and no box, just the card, but strangly the serial number is scratched off. I think this website gets a illegal supply of these cards, thats y there so cheap, that my hunch. Anyways i recommend anyone wanting a brill card for a cheap price buy this.

I doubt they would sell used faulty cards, if you do have problmes do let us know!
It could be refurbished…meaning it was sent back with some fixable physical defect and then marked down so they could make some profit. Refurbs are typically just the product itself, and usually not anything more than the item and drivers, as needed.
yea it is refurbished i just found out im having no probs wiv it at all
