Yep guys this is why I havent been up here recently I've been looking and saving for a car and this is what I got a 1974 datsun 260z....oh yea(plays the Ferris bular music in the back ground ) Shes a two seater with almost No rust (cars from Arizona) she is small I mean short 2 seater and the engine is clean shes a manual 5spd and has that nice old car exhaust sound deep and LOUD. heres some pics (the pics with the silver patches are newer the seller got rid of the surface rust spots and sealed it with wether resistant spray can primer) Of course new interior and paint job will be done
Learning to drive a stick can be a pain in the ass to start with, but it's invaluable to have. Not learning to drive a stick is pansy's perogative.
Not to mention that it just feel cool and fun to shift especially in a sports car...the fact that this thing is so short and small only makes the feeling rich-er...Its like someone who cant imagine buying a auto corvette i know i cant although its jus as fast its jus to fun to me.
That's one thing I miss about my Cavalier: no stick. I don't mind having the console to throw stuff in, however. Still, there's nothing like driving a stick. I miss my old Accord for that.
Gear stick. Theyre good cos you can give it still then. Can you hit rev limiters in autos or will they always change up in time? What do you learn to drive with in America? If you learn with an automatic thats all your allowed to drive over here. Two separate tests. And about 5-6 motorbike tests! Its odd how autos are so common in America (and Australia i think too) The only auto ive ever seen was a car we hired in Florida. I was all exceited when I found out we were getting 3.5 V6! Turned out to be slower than slow
Ooooooooh! Gear Stick! . Driving in America is easy cos they have loads of automatic cars I think, that's why they learn at 16 and we learn at 17. Manual isn't that hard, I learnt to drive round a field when I was 11, and the gears weren't too hard to control, once I got used to the clutch. Btw, nice car!
Thanks yea the wheels are nice but they re only staying on till after i get the paint job. Imma get some 17in panasports and that front spoiler you see on the car is going too...lol ..its funny how the tires are practically brand new
Midnight- navy blue or gunmetal gray(possibly with a unique stripe design white with the blue or black with the gunmetal)...I would paint it some bright color, but Im just going to be driving her too much until I get outta high school so thatway to flashy dont want anyone to steal her she was much to hard to find plus shes way to easy to steal anway with the obsolete door locks... P.S. Eventually I will upgrade to way better security eitherway.
nice car!!! You cant beat having an earlier built car. One of the great things is that most of the repair work and probs can be done yourself and not by some cowboy garage repair dude. In my first car i had good old manual choke, the joys of starting the car on a winter morning.
Dunno anything about this car but it looks grrrrrrrrrrr, sexy! I can picture it in metallic, sparkly purple, blasting out - "I'm going down..... to Alfa-bet Street, I'm gonna crown...... the first girl that I meet......" hehe....

haha.. well its the gas prices had to do it, didnt want two gas guzzlers i think anyone would agree that 30mpg at $10 to fill her up every two weeks is damn good...
I remember top gear voted the toyota corolla the most boring car of the year about 5 years on the trot! But it also got voted one of the best... it used to be the most sold car in the uk if I remember right. $10 to fill a lawn mower engine is bloody cheap let alone a car! $10 would get me 40 miles... and I have a bike!
