    Hello, first post here.

Everytime I install both of my 2gb RAM sticks, the BIOS verifies "4096 ram bytes UPDATE OK" (or something like that).

Next, it goes to the "Windows 7 is loading" screen.

Once the 4 different colored logos of Windows 7 finish appearing on top of that "Windows 7 is loading" text, nothing happens.

However, I have no issues when only using one 2GB stick.

    [Motherboard: PCCHIPS A33G 1.0]
    Newegg.com - PC CHIPS A33G V1.0 AM2 SiS 761 GX Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
    [CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ 2.5ghz Socket AM2 (940)]
    [RAM: (1) stick of 2GB Kingston DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz]
[Video card: EVGA Nvidia GeForce 8600GT 512MB]

NOTE: I have tried two different brands of 2GB RAM sticks:

    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

    and currently:

    Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR800D2K2/4GR

Everytime I use two sticks of EITHER brand above, I get the freezing issue.

Does anyone know of any solutions?

    Thank you!

    My PSU:

Antec earthwatts EA500 500W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.2 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply

Yes, I have tried both slots and mixed up both brands. I still get the freezing issue anytime I have two 2GB sticks in. Both slots work fine when only one is being used.

    1. Should I try a 2GB DDR2 800mhz stick + 2GB DDR2 667mhz stick?

    2. Or TWO sticks of 2GB DDR2 667mhz?
