    Hi guys,
    I'm getting 4Gb of PC2-6400.

    Which is the better option:
    4x1Gb sticks
    or
    2x2Gb sticks

    Both cost about the same.

I'm not interested in upgrading later. By the time I'll get around to upgrading next I'll have to replace everything.

I think it's better to get 2x 2 GB RAM, because:

    1. Less heat
    2. Some motherboards have issues when all RAM slots are installed.
    3. Leaving 2 slots empty is better for future :)

I would get the 2x2GB sticks because you can upgrade in the future adding another 2x2GB giving you 8GB as you will have 2 more slots available thats if your mobo can take 8GB and if you have 64Bit OS.
