5.1 speaker to built-in sound card setup

    i recently bought a logitech Z-640 speaker, my problem now is how can i set it up with my Asus P4P800-X mobo? this board claims that it has a 6-channel built-in soundcard... or should i buy a seperate sound card? please help... thanks....

    You'll need to go into Control Panel and select Sounds, and in there will be the Audio Setup wizard, from there, you just select 5.1 Speakers and everything should work fine.

    A dedicated sound card will give you better performance. Whether you should invest in one depends on how bothered you are in getting that perfect sound. Mind you, your onboard sound card will probably suffice with those Logitech speakers.
