Hi I have been itching to try out the newest build of windows 7 available on my system, I've tested it before but went back to XP to get a better idea of the difference. Now I've decided I like 7 better, HOWEVER..

I was wondering, based on my system specs If I should go with the x64 or x86 version, and why, what is the actual functionality difference.. if any at all?

    Specs are

AmD athlon 64 3800 venice core
1 Gig ddr pc 3200 (used to have 2gig but one stick went bad)
60 gig sata hdd, and 40 gig IDE hdd
    Geforce 9600 Gt OC 512 GDDR3 PCIEx16
    550 watt PSU
Gigabyte GA-K8n SLI board (second PCI-E port went bad soo.. its just one card now :( )

I know its a bit dated, I'm still running single core (go ahead and laugh lol, I do!) but the thing actually runs most high end games, minus crysis, pretty efficiently despite the lack of RAM and single core processor. I'm just wondering If x64 makes any difference besides the amount of ram windows can read.
