My tiny CRT I was using is all but completely dead now as it turns black and flickers/pops/degrades every time the screen changes so I decided I'd just hook my rig up to my new TV. Well I was very dissappointed at how horrid my desktop looked. The only reason I could read anything is because I maxed the icon and font size and I actually knew what they should say. I fiddled with all the TV settings and got it looking as good as I could so FEAR looked decent enough but every non-game app looked horrible like before. So basically all I need is a confirmation that this is as good as it will get with my current card right? I mean I'm dealing with 480i resolution right now like most people. The only way that could change would be in three ways right? 1) I get a HD signal, 2) I get an Xbox 360, 3) I get a card that supports HD? I like the idea of using a big screen but not if I can't read anything. I just used the single s-video cable provided and say what I feared would happen. I take it there's no other option then to get the HD ready card right? Thanks all.
