I recently purchased a POWERCOLOR RADEON 9600 PRO (R96-D3G), I am upgrading from a POWERCOLOR RADEON 7000. My 7000 is able to use my TV as the second display, all I have to do is plug it in and make sure the correct drivers are installed. The 9600 however, does not work like this. I am able to use the TV as a display, but it will only work to clone either the Flat pannel or the CRT. Keep in mind that I am not trying to use three displays simutaneously, my goal is to use the Flat Panel (connected w/ DVI) and the TV (s-video) as primary and secondary display respectively. The powercolor user manual shows that this is possible, but for some reason I cannot get the s-video connection to work as the second display. In order for S-video to work I have to go into ATI control panel, and force the detection of my TV, The TV does not have the 1 & 2 buttons as it shows in the manual, so I am not able to extend my desktop on to it. I have the latest version of the catalyst drivers installed 5.11 & the ATI control pannel. For a temporary fix I went out an bought a sh*tty scan converter, but it is sh*tty so, I am returning it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just want this card to work like my old one, It is almost like I downgraded.

I'm trying to read up on this as I haven't messed with any muti-display setups for a few years, but in the meantime, check out this section over at the Rage3D forums.
