    Hi,
My win7 system, using a SyncMaster 940bw behaves as though my monitor is much wider than it is. The distortion is only in its right side, while the left is configured as needed.
    The result:
    1. Quite frequently, new windows open drawn to the right and seen only in part.
    2. My mouse "travels a long way" to the right, while stopping at the edge of the left side.

    How do I restore adjustment?

On your monitor there should be a button called 'Auto'. Press it to automatically adjust the image on the screen.

Thanks RHochstenbach, I tried your suggestion, but nothing changed. The active are of the screen is wider than its physical size.

what if you try and change the width by going into the menu? My syncmaster does this too, sometimes, but that's usually a problem in the monitor and/or the driver settings of my video card. Once it's fixed, unless I don't change my resolution, everything`s stable and allright.

edijs, your suggestion led me to the right direction. My system includes two displays, LG TV and SyncMaster monitor. The "Multiple displays" specification was "Extend these displays". I changed it to "Multiple these displays" and the problem disappeared.
