    Hi guys

I noticed that XFCE doesn't have a wastebasket in Xubuntu. I think this is because the version of XFCE included in Xubuntu didn't support one? The reason I ask is because I've installed Zenwalk in VMware and the XFCE version included in that does have a recyclebin

Is there a way to get the wastebin feature in Xubuntu without having to upgrade XFCE?

I was also wondering whether it's possible to have my mount points on the desktop? Or does XFCE not support desktop icons?

Xfce supports minimizing applications to desktop icons like CDE does on Solaris. It doesn't support desktop icons for applications natively (that's what the menu and iconbar are for), but does show icons for mounted volumes. However, you can always install ROX and have it manage the XFCE desktop, which will give you icons. But it's a bit of a hack and you'll lose some of the Xfce speed advantage.

I hate application icons on the desktop! I just wanted mount points like hda1, hda3 etc. But it doesn't really matter.
I noticed that when I plugged in my Walkman phone, the mount point appeared on the desktop :)

As for the Wastebasket feature, that was introduced in 4.3.99.1. Whereas Xubuntu uses 4.3.90.1. Guess I'll have to wait til Edgy Eft :)
