I am bit confused with this, that, wheather to go with a monitor or I can use a LCD TV as a monitor as well? What are the differences between them?
well i dont know if they've being improved, but i remember the old dual-scan LCD monitors, hopefully the newer TFT LCD screens are vastly better, but yeah, 1 screen can be used for both difference: unknown, but probably the only difference is: an LCD TV has an arial socket but to use an LCD TV as a monitor i think you'll need a gfx crd with s-video out
Yeah I voted for LCD TV concidering the out of the box dual uses. LCD monitors are designed for simple day to day computing. Some people use LCD TV monitors too. They're quite good for both TV and daily computing actually. The higher quality ones at leat. You won't get as high a resolution in a LCD TV usually but it's a great deal as you usually get more screen for the buck. LCD's have come a long way. CRT's still have better blacks and responce time is nothing to worry about. But LCD's are vastly improving and it's really the best route to go if you want a good sized yet compact screen. If you want to save money and upgrade you TV at the same time go with a Nice LCD TV and you'll get dual usage out of it.
