I left my laptop turned on connected to an external monitor with the lid closed. When I returned it had frozen and had to switch it of brutally by holding the power switch for 10seconds. Tried to turn it on and it would power on and restarts after 4seconds and no video output on the Lcd even on the external monitor which continue signalling that there is no video signal input. Removed the RAM modules, cleaned the fan and also removed the HDD but nothing changes. It doesn't even give beeps. Is there anyone who can help me solve this problem? thank you for your contributions
Hi, I would first unplug the laptop, then remove the battery modules and then press the power button down for 20-30 seconds to let the board discharge. Disconnect any peripheral devices and external video. Then plug the power back in and try to boot it up again. If that doesnt work, remove the power and battery pack again, and then remove the CMOS battery and hold the power button down for a few seconds. This should reset the BIOS for the laptop. Then put the battery back in and try it again.
