Acount problem (anti virus related???)

    Think the is in the right place but here it goes

    i wnt to sign onto my acount this morning and nothing was there at all, well none of the things that i had put on, there was the usual, internet icon and recycle bin but nothing else. The back ground is just blue and not what i put there, all of my documents have gone and everything, anyone help?

    i went to check my mum and dads acount and everything is fine, everything is stil there, it cant be that big of a problem

    The reason i think its ainti virus related becuase when i went on my acoutn something poped up about it

    i dont now alot about computers when it comes down to things like this so you wil have to bare with me


    can anyone help

    what account ?
    if you think its virus related download a free anti-virus program (AVG, avast or another one)

    My acount on the computer, like me my mum and dad all have our own sperate acount

    the thing that popped up was the security centre on control panel.

    i am using AGv and i have clicked the box in security centre sayin that i am going to monitor the agv my self and i went onto my acount this mornin and nothing is there :eek:hah:

    oh! right, your user account, and your using AVG, update AVG and do a full scan (all files)

    I don't think the issues are directly related, it's probably just a simple case of a corrupt XP profile. Windows NT4, 2000 and XP all do that every now and again. Check in C:\Documents and Settings\ to see if your old, corrupted profile is still there. IIRC, it will have your username in it with a bunch of random numbers and letters hashed in.
