Hi all, atm I have an onboard built in sound card, the 'AC '97 vynil' (I think it is lol) any ways, I now want to upgrade to a new souncard, but there are soo many good ones to choose from and I am not sure what to get. Could somebody please advise me on which soundcard to get and why??? Thanks.
I have a soundblaster audigy2/ZS and I like it. It is affordable and great quality. If you want to splurge you can get better cards with fancy features and front panel controls/inputs/outputs. Depends on what you want. If you don't do audio editing/midi stuff then this would be all you would need. The audigy4 is awesome but way overkill for desktop sound. Check out here.
