Your best bets are the GeForce 7900GS/7800GTX or the Radeon X1950 Pro.

my system plays it as well (7600gs) - @ 800x600, but medicore settings... and with some OCing...

but, yeah, a x1950 pro would do it (x1950GT as well, probably (w/ some OCing for sure)).

Ya, you won't be finding an AGP card that can run it at a decent resolution for ~$100. B is right with the 7900, prolly would be your best best. I actuall yheard that ATI may be putting it's 38xx series onto an AGP platform, but I kinda doubt it myself..

I know that there is an HD 2600 for AGP: Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 Pro AGP.

It'll run it, but last I saw it had a bad price/performance. I'd still go with the 7900 cards.

it is not the graphics that really bother me but the gameplay ut2004 runs on my comp if UT3 had good proformance but graphics as low as ut2004 that would be fine cuz it is the gameplay i care about

EDIT: I have found this one.. it is a Sapphire ATI radeon X1650 PRO 512Mb for about $95 USD review and details here... Sapphire Computer Reviews - Radeon X1650 Pro Video Card - 100175L

EDIT: i have noticed that PCI-E cards are less expensive. so is there a PCI-E to AGP adaptor? so i can use the PCI-E version of the 7900GS on an AGP ...?

LOL, no you cant use an adapter to run a PCI-ex card in an agp port. Even if you could that PCI-Ex card would be sooo bottlenecked by the 4x bandwidth that it would be a joke. That x1650 will prolly run it, but barely. It wouldnt be playable online more than likely.

This is about the cheapest you'll get for a new AGP card.

AGP cards are more expensive because there's less demand for them now, where PCIe cards do have that demand.

1024x768 is about what my 7900GS can do with the UT3 demo. I haven't tested it on my other box with an X1650 Pro, just from playing games like FEAR, I'd be fairly certain 1024x768 isn't going to happen at an acceptable framerate in UT3.

Fear is not a high spec game anymore. The only place that FEAR is demanding is on processors. Otherwise the card should be able to run it fine.
But UT3 is a brand new, high demanding game that would throw most AGP cards for a loop.

according to System Requirements Lab i clicked on the Recommended tab and the recommended video cards were these:
Recommended: NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI X1300+ Video Card
now if the X1300 is older and not as swift as the X1650 then the X1650 should run it better than recommended card Correct?
    thanks

    Let me elaborate on FEAR.

I can do 1600x1200 on the 7900GS; I can do about 1024x768 with the X1650. I can also run higher detail settings with the 7900GS than I can with the X1650.

The X1650/1600 is more of a rehashed X700, which was comparable to the GeForce 6600 series. The only exception is the X1650XT, which competed well with the 7600GT.
The X1300 is slower than the X1600/X1650 series, you are correct. However, the 7800GTX is vastly more powerful than that, so the SRL recommendation seems a little off.

Yes. The 7900GS is a refined version of the 7800GTX; the performance is basically the same.

well i could not find the 7800GTX for AGP but i found the 7800GS for AGP and i do not want the 7900GS because it requires a 480W or more PSU witch i dont have...
the 7800GS is $173 which is more to my liking

Wait, i'm not 100% but i'm pretty sure that ether ATI is making a 3000 series AGP card, or Nvidia is making a 8 series AGP card, pretty sure on that, if not already made.
