were abouts do i alter my AGP Voltage, as i want ot increase the voltage ot enable me to overclock my graphics card further. if i increase to voltage, do i have a risk of frying my card straight away?
oh, becouse i have been looking on rage 3d forum, and people have been messeing with there agp voltage ot overclock a X1800XL ot higher speeeds, i just wanted to see if raising the voltage would enable me to get my core up to 600mhz on the x800xtpe
http://mod.vault9.net/forums/Agp_Voltage-t11856.html Apparently for this guy increasing the AGP voltage didn't improve stability, so I can't see how it can help.
The AGP voltage is one of those settings that sounds like it'll help, but really doesn't do anything from my experience. While having the right parts helps, you have to remember that overclocking comes down to luck to a certain extent.
oh, so i must just be out of luck, becouse it seems like my card is underperforming, it might just be me, just, when i used this far cry benchmark, had everyhting to max, 1280x1024 res, 16xAF 6xAA and ultra settings on the benchmark program, and using open gl, i was getting about 12.2fps on avarage, max was 30fps, most of the time it was going about 8fps
no, becouse when i play farcry on max setitngs, actually play the game, i am getting about 40-150fps depending were abouts i am. its just when its on opengl, then its really slow infact, i did the same benchmark again that i got 12.2fps on avarage that i did with open gl, but i put it to direct 3d, and my avarage was 46fps.
This is because nVidia cards are usually stronger in OpenGL than their ATi counterparts. I think some time in November, ATi will officially release their OpenGL enhanced driver which dramatically improved OpenGL performance with their cards.
apparently this new drivers makes x8xx series loose performace, benchmarks proove it, and i have tried these so called enhanced drivers, i am using 5.11 at moment, there not doing anything for me :\
