Can i know if a GeForce4 that support Agp 4x works well on my AGP slot 8x?

IS there any side effect or does it not even work at all?

    Thanks~!

It should work fine. AGP 8x slots are backwards compatible with AGP 4x cards. If they weren't, a lot of people would be ticked if they had to buy a new video card to work with their motherboard.

Correct AGP 8X is backward compatible. But, watch out, on a LOT of current boards, AGP 4X is the minimum it can go, anything less than AGP4X will burjn your board, or the sensors will tell you that an card less than AGP4X is in there, if you have a decent board. Just rember, no AGP 8X Cards actually utilise what they are given now, so dont think that AGp8X will make much of a difference.
