DailyTech - NEC Announces Curved Computer Display

Nec has announced its own super wide curved display, pretty much the same exact deal as Alienware's, but Nec released a contrast ration greater than 10,000:1. However, and as stated in the article, with everything being so similar and it seems like they are clones with two different badges on them, but we'll have to wait and see i guess.
 
Nice to see there will be some competition to drive the prices down when they actually get released

yeah, truly though, i'm not sure if Alienware will even pay attention. I guess they have to, but anything crazy they put out has like a 50% premium on it, just because of the name. On a side note, Nec came out of know where with this one. Yeah, its like they said in the article, Alienware always has a huge markup, and this probably won't be any different.

Aye that is true i suppose, well at least with two main players into the mix it shouldnt be long before we see a budget hannspree version as well :D
