AMD athlon XP 2000+

    i have recently bought a computer with an AMD athlon XP 2000+ but does anyone know why it doesnt go at a speed of 2ghz? because i thought that it would if i looked at the name but when it runs the speed is only 1.6ghz

    The 2000 is a comparason to an Intel processor. What that means is that the Athlon 2000+ performs at a similar level to a 2 GHz P4.

    He's absolutly right, though it would be able to overclock to 2.0Ghz if you have quality ram, a nice motherboard, and a solid power supply.
