    hi i just bought an amd 3000+ 64bit and wanted to know wat core it is, does it say anywere?

    If you download [google]CPU Z[/google] then it will tell you what core it is.

    Yeah, that's what I'd do. The numbers etched in the heatspreader do translate into specific information, but CPU-Z is much more efficient.
