Antianalising wont work help please

I have a nvidia 5700 256mb
the latest drivers from the site, no matter what i do antialising wont work ive tried it on 2x 4x and 8x but all edges just look jaged and horrible.
if i play bf2 is has the option ingame to put AA on so i do that and it works fine for that game.
but any other game will not work any ideas?

1 gig ram
geforce 5700
 
I have also tried 3 other lots of drivers which where released before lastest ones. and i know ive installed them all properly each time
 
Are you enabling this option ingame or through the nVidia control panel? If you dont do it ingame chances are it wont apply your control panel settings.
 
That's probably why, if the option is not available in the game menu that means the game doesn't support it and wont work. Yeah it's a rough deal but at least you know.
 
And if i go back to drivers from 2004 it works in all games but i cant use them cuz bf2 wont work
my m8s say games look really good using drivers i have and there cards are older then mine
