    Hey all,

    Ive previously never used antivirus as ive seen what norton and mcafee do to your computer lol, but i think i need to start, all i want to know is whats the best out there? as i am a gamer i dont want one that hogs all system resources

    AVG Antivirus Free edition is a good low profile AV, get it free from here.

    Bitdefender is a very good free one aswell. Get it here.

    Although Bitdefender is very good, the free edition is only on demand, and AVG has a real time resident shield so if you want a free one go for AVG.

    BitDefender Pro Plus is a great tool if you're prepared to spend money on it, performs far better than any other firewall I've used.

    my router and xp do a great job already, im just after antivirus...avg found 4 lool
